True 11/12thC Pala stone Ganesh in lively attitude. Of all forms of Ganesh from all periods in all cultures, this may be my favorite. Approaching 1,000 years old, this piece has been broken and repaired, and has losses as seen in the photos. Still a joyful and powerful figure. Stands a nice size at 9 5/8 inches tall. Rare, compelling image.
