This is an authentic 12th century Angkor Wat era bronze Buddha. This piece was de-accessioned by the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, and has Museum inventory numbers on the bottom. Based on other pieces I have seen, if I read the numbers correctly, this piece was catalogued in to the museum in 1987, or 18 years ago. Periodically the museum sells off items to raise funds for new purchases. This piece was dated by the museum as 12th century. The only loss is to the piece is to the fingertips and surface details. The actual figure is fully intact. It has a marvelous patina. The face does have some wear as seen in the photos. It stands to 5.75 inches tall.
