Early SE Asian Standing Bronze Buddha figure. I have searched through dozens of reference books without finding a close relative- I know I've seen very closely related examples in person, though it has been a very long time. The Mudra is similar to a Dvarati Mudra but the finger and middle finger are touching rather than finger and second finger. The shape of head and long attached ears are also very distinctive. The simple chest style leading down to the curved abdomen, along with the head and finial shape, unusual face and ears, and large hands and feet are all distinctive features of early SE Asian styles. Stands 8 inches tall. Attached stand adds 1/2 inch. Extremely rare type. Any information would be appreciated!

One knowledgeable person(after considerable research) points out that it is possible that this piece may be a later (14 to 16 or even 17thC) effort to revive an older type of figure, done by a sculptor from the Thai (Srivajaya)Peninsula who didn't quite understand the iconography of Dvaravati?
