Northern Thai 16thC bronze Buddha. Made in a mold (all of this type I've seen have been made in this way), so not as crisp as sand-cast sculptures. The tradeoff is you get the 3 wonderful elephants on the base. I've only seen 3 or 4 of this type over the years-very uncommon-all were fairly similar in size, all had elephants on the base, but not all were from the same mold-each was slightly different than the others. Sits 5.75 inches tall. Underside likely filled in after manufacture.
