Mongolian Tsong-ka-pa, probably close to 100 years old. Cast from an unusual alloy, probably taken from an airplane from the Soviet invasion of Mongolia in the 1920's (I have had 2 or 3 other Buddhas cast out of aluminum or other related materials from this same time period). This one is heavier and more finely cast. Has some sort of copper colored "gilding". Deep spiritual feel to the face.
Truly rare historical piece. Also a great lesson on impermanence. Almost 5 inches tall.
