Antique carved plaque with snow lions and many different auspicious symbols on backplate for altar. Remains of polychrome and lacquer remain. Was varnished or preserved with some other coating at some point. Nice size at 11.75 inches tall, 24.75 inches wide. I've owned this 20+ years and haven't come across another I've liked as much as this one.
