This is a very wonderful Buddha relic. It is a Chiang Sen Buddha from the 14/15th century that has been through a fire. It was probably buried for centuries. It has obvious losses: it was custom built a very creative stand made of old teak wood, from which it can be removed. The back of the Buddha has a piece of wood attached to it : the Buddha is placed in a cutout in the teak, and a post goes through the wood that holds the Buddha in place. It is the classic “Lion type” Chiang Sien Buddha with the bud shaped finial and short sash, which is also known as Chiang Sien 1. While there are many copies, this is an original 14/15th century piece. The Buddha sits 8 inches high: in the stand it is 10 and a half inches high. This is far more beautiful and valuable than many complete Buddhas
