Authentic Old Lingham stone. As per previous owner (who resides in the in UK), it heen used in worship for at least 3 generations, and likely longer. 3 inches wide, approximately 6.5 inches long/tall. Hard to capture its beauty in photos. Very close example, 1/2 inch shorter, with similar red design in the stone in Christies New York, September 21, 2005, lot 56, with a pre=auction estimate of $1000 to $2000. They refer to it as a Brahmanda or "Cosmic Egg" and as being from Benares.
