This is a delightful and early Laos Bronze Buddha of good size quality. He has a an intense gaze, and sits on a wonderful base with 4 elephant heads holding up the base (an extremely rare feature- one which I have seen only a few times out of many thousands of statues- I have one other listed on my site). The two elephants in the back are old (and very skillful replacements along with part of the rear base. This may have been done during the manufacture period or sometime later. He sits a full 11.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep. One of a kind, and highly desirable. He is a bit more expensive than some others, but he is large and quite special.
