Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Fine 18/19thC Tibetan bronze Bodhisattva. There are many levels of these miniatures- this is a really good one-not like the ones coming out of China today. 1.5 inches tall, 2.25 inches tall on custom base. Acquired from a San Francisco based collection put together in the 1970's by a wealthy Japanese collector. Was expensive even when I bought it in the late 1990's.
