Solid-cast 12/13thC Cambodian bronze Buddha. Expectable wear, but no losses or repairs. Beautiful even untouched patina. Good size at over 8.5 inches tall, 10.25 inches on the custom base. Solid cast and quite heavy for its size. There are a lot of fakes on the market. This is one that is easy to see is authentic. purchased from Bonhams and Butterfield auction house in the late 1980sfrom an estate sale that was filled with early Cambodian bronzes from a Palo Alto California estate that was Put together in the 1950s and 60s.
