Face that lights up the world on this Laos bronze Buddha. Sitting in Samadhi (meditation) Mudhra on an uncommon base, this is a very good Laos bronze Buddha from what would be the Early Ayuthaya period in Thailand. The Lao Buddhas often roughly parallel the Thai Buddhas but in wonderful provincial variations. Nice size at 7.25 inches tall, 10.25 inches on custom stand. Very heavy for his size.
