Extremely rare 15-17thC Northern Thai Buddhist figure sculpted out of a special glass which has significant amounts of gold mixed in to it (this gives it it's color as well as making it extremely heavy for its size). If you look on my site in the "search" area-look for advanced search in the upper right hand corner of the page, and then after you get there check both "sold" and "for sale", then scroll to"glass" items in "Thailand" you will see all the related items are pale yellow- this one has so much gold it is almost orange. Purchased from a farmer who excavated this in his field. Repairs and loss. Very strong spiritual feeling. This piece meaures 1" tall (approx.) and 2" tall on its custom base.
Long time personal favorite- he almost feels like there is a little spark of life that shines out from inside of him. This is a quality found in the very best of miniatures
