This is an extremely unusual Pinya or Mon bronze Burmese Buddha, probably from the 14 or 15th centuries, although I am not sure of the precise dating on this one. It appears to be in a transitional style, with a flat, squarish head that is often associated with Pinya style Buddhas, which came after Pagan, and before and during early Ava Buddhas. This is a very uncommon one that is hard to identify exactly. He has an extremely complex and beautiful patina. He stands 5 inches high.
