Remarkable intelligent monkey thinking deep thoughts. Solid cast and quite heavy for his size. Had this custom base made with just the right proportions to really bring out his sculptural beauty. Sits firmly at 4.75 inches tall, 6 inches tall on custom stand. Part of his staff held in his hands is long gone, and lacquer and gilding shows extensive wear. Looks to be quite old. Unsure of country of origin or how to date.
