This is a very nice 17th or early 18thC Cambodian Buddha. It is made of a very high silver content alloy. The bronze base and silver Buddha are separately cast and attached with a lead plug. Quite heavy for its size, as the Buddha is solid cast. Wonderful dark patina. Someone cleaned part of the back. Very nice base- very often these are missing, as after 300+ years the lead plug loosens and the base falls off. Sits 3.5 inches tall, 4.75 inches on custom stand. These are getting very hard to find, especially in this original state.
