16thC MASSIVE Burmese Ava Buddha Face made of ancient bricks covered with stucco/clay. The original figure would have sat or stood as a full figure, covered in a thick lacquer and then gilded. His presence would have filled the temple 500 years ago. The face alone is larger than life at 18 inches tall, and 14 inches wide, the height on the custom stand is 23 inches. An impressive survivor that commands any space it occupies. The original Buddha would have probably sat or stood 8 to 10 feet tall. RARE.
