Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Antique Nepalese/Tibetan Incense Burner. Elaborate, with auspicious symbols, repousse deer and wheel of the law, dragons, birds in the 4 corners of lid (all complete and undamaged!). Looks to have some ritual use. Probably early 20th century. I've come across very few of this type-especially so elaborately done and in such excellent condition and in this quality with age to them. Very good size at 13.5 inches long x 4.25 inches wide x 7.25 inches tall.
