Large Ming Bronze Bodhisattva of Compassion with beautifully rolled scroll. Probably smashed and burned during the 1960's during the cultural revolution in China, and later resurrected from the debris with the advent of metal detectors 20 or 30 years later. On custom base. Losses and condition issues as seen in the photos. Of this quality and unusual hair scroll and other uncommon features, with this wonderful face and overall look, this piece would be amazing if perfect. It is still quite wonderful just as it is.
