Vibrant and finely painted Tibetan thangka of a fierce protective deity. One of the finest thangkas I have acquired in all my years of collecting. Beyond the exceptional painting quality, vivid pigments, and remarkably well-preserved condition, this work possesses a rare sense of “life” and energy, especially in the powerful central figure. The image area measures 14.25" × 20", and the piece is presented in a custom frame with museum glass, bringing the overall size to 21" × 27". It comes from a large and distinguished American collection that was dispersed due to divorce.
