Large mid 18thC Cambodian Buddha from the estate of the late Comedian Gary Shandling. Strong influence from late Ayuthaya/
Early Rattanakosin styles which were occurring in next door in Thailand at the same time. The Cambodian examples have much in common in terms of the bases and ornamentation, but have different shaped bodies and heads, and faces that are distinct from their Thai counterparts. The Cambodian type are far rarer than the Thai types. Sits 12.5" high, 14.25 inches on custom stand.
