Item id: 83

This is a special very early Laos bronze Buddha done in a delightful and joy filled folk style. The face has the best elements of Laos folk style Buddhas: a simplicity and joy shine in this piece that is found in great spiritual art. He is EXTREMELY heavy for his size. He is wax cast out of a lead/bronze alloy and is solid through the body, with no clay core. He weighs an impressive 89 ounces and sits nicely at a bit over 9 and one quarter inches high
