Antique Mongolian Box for holding personal meditation implements and for use as a traveling altar, painted with Buddha and animals. measures 7 5/8 x 8 x 5 inches. Purchased from a Mongolian man in the 1990's. Great folk art. Never seen something like this with a Buddha and Horses and Elephant painted on it in this way.
