Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Beautifully and finely embroidered antique Tibetan Buddhist crown. Each of the five panels is approximately 7 inches tall when folded up. Very good condition. Finely executed. Purchased thirty years ago from a San Francisco estate. Recently had a custom display stand made which beautifully displays the crown is all its splendor. Colors are vivid; one panel a bit darker, as it spent most of its life folded up with one panel exposed on the top. When displayed, it is 13 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/2inches wide. Probably 19thC.
