Country Group:
Delightful and very uncommon Antique Indian Standing Ganesh. Solid cast out of a high quality alloy that practically glows in the dark. The long limbs and lithe trunk display unusually svelte dimensions for an elephant god. The sculptor was quite skillful however, and their departure from tradition was completely successful in this case. Looks to have very good age, and My guess is that he is at least 18thS and possibly as early as 15thC, though this is truly just a guess, Please share if you have a more accurate dating or have an idea of place of origin. Size is 4.25 inches tall.
