18/19thC or earlier Sukhothai style Thai bronze Buddha. Appears to have been cast in a mold, but the quality of the casting and finishing is so good that the final product is better than many pieces that have been wax cast. Not large sits a little over 2.5 inches), but has the feel of a Buddha many times its size. From an old United Kingdom collection. This type was made for hundreds of years with little change, so hard to date. This one is not modern and is not a (13/14thC) period piece.
