Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Early Tibetan Rahu carved out of wood. As per notations on the back this is likely 17th century. Clearly made with very early tools. Patina indicates it is an ancient piece of wood with a patina which has been untouched for hundreds of years. Some loss as can be seen in the photos, but this is not surprising for a piece of wood from the 1600's. This piece measures 29 5/8 inches x 9.75 inches.
