This unusual double Thangka gau contains a remarkable ensemble of devotional items, including two hand-painted Mongolian Thangkas displayed side by side, each measuring 3.5" x 4.5", as well as an additional folded Thangka and a hand-colored woodblock print tucked inside, along with other papers discovered within the shrine. Housed in its original painted wooden case, the piece captures the charm and layered history of portable Buddhist altars once carried for protection and blessing.
