Best stone sculpture on my site: Large 17thC stone sculpture of Virupa. Finely sculpted by a master stone carver out of a hard black stone. Entire thing except for left arm and possibly topknot and left foot are one giant piece of stone. Right arm added at time of manufacture. Truly unsure of topknot and foot. A few fingers and toes re-attached/chipped- otherwise in remarkably complete condition Remains of original polychrome- patina untouched. This piece measures approximately 14.25" tall. Almost alive!
