Just uncovered, packed, and ready to ship (almost 14 years ago) when it was sold in 2003 and I thought I had lost it as I could not find it to ship and refunded the buyer's money. Photos were taken with an early digital, so it is not shown to its fullest potential. I have not seen one comparable in all the years since. Made of teak or other hardwood. I purchased this early in my collecting career in the mid-1980s, as it had an individual personality- something lacking in so many Buddhist pieces. Would have sat at the feet of a really grand first quality large Buddha in a high-level temple. Best of its type- 19thC Mandalay portrait sculpture of a donor figure holding Buddhist beads. Very fine carving, with great finesse and sensitivity. The original polychrome has worn in a beautiful way. He is quite large at 20 inches tall by over 12 inches wide. Special
