Magnificent monumental lacquer face of a 17th century Ava Buddha. Original Buddha would have sat over 8 feet tall! Due to fragility, the back (inside) was reinforced with a strong polymer substance by the person who built the stand for me. Sits 12" tall and 14.25" on stand. Diameter of stand is 8.25". Rare to find such an old and beautiful face in this huge size. A commanding presence!
