Beautiful and very early, though a bit of a mystery. Probably India or Pakistan or Himalayan foothills, and in the range of 9-10thC (plus or minus a century), though this could be a very special and uncommon early piece from some other area. This piece measures 3.25" tall and 4.25" tall on its custom base. Has the beauty, finesse, and delicacy to be in a book or museum. An all-time favorite, only being put up, as I am in the process of putting together a down payment for my retirement home with my by putting up my personal collection. I've owned some of these pieces for over 30 years and am putting them up for sale now for the first time.
