Mon silver Buddha in a contemporary 22k gold frame. Pre 1000 A.D. Rare and powerful early Buddhist relic. Excavated in the early 20thC with a cache of other small bronze Buddhas of this same style. This was supposedly the smallest and most intense one of the group. I have owned three others that I am pretty sure are from the same group, and this is the one I invested in having a 22k frame made by a jeweler out gold that came to me through my family. For a long time I wore this every day, but as I got older it got heavy. Very animated and hard to capture in photos. Measures 1 3/4 inches tall.
