Very early I believe- before Ming- style is 12/13th century-- never seen in iron before, but I think it maybe that old- NOT new- I do not think Ching., given that it is made of iron almost surely early- painted many times over the years (at least 3 or 4 times). Last time painted maybe less than 100 years ago. Maybe touch up in the 20th century, but not to deceive, but for maintenance. One hand re-attched.
RARE. Bought in China by last owner's grandfather in 1920's. I only see this kind in wood- look at item 6518- same eyes and face. This piece measures 13 7/16 inches tall on its custom base.
