18th Century Tibetan Fierce Deity — Jewel-Like Masterwork I acquired this extraordinary piece many years ago by trading another of my favorites—an item for which I had paid nearly $12,000. Its fine, jewelry-like quality struck me immediately. This is a world-class example, retaining its original inset jewels and displaying a radiant presence that truly seems to glow in low light.
While larger examples exist, you will not find one finer in detail, craftsmanship, or overall impact. It comes from an important Swedish collection and has remained one of my most cherished personal pieces for the past two decades. Measuring 5 inches tall, it is small in scale yet monumental in artistry. For twenty years, it has sat facing my bed, serving as a protector of dreams and a constant source of strength and beauty. A rare offering of superb quality—one of the finest Tibetan bronzes of its type you are likely to encounter.
