Look at item 8091 in the "sold" section to see an almost identical example (though this one is missing a forearm, The other one as per previous owner, had a cache of coins, all dating from the Yong Zheng period (1820 to 1840), which is the same period from which both of the statues are believed to be from, were found inside when the statue was being "repaired" (actually, I believe they heard jingling inside when they shook the statue and wondered what treasure was inside and could not resist opening it) One coin (pictured in the photos of item 8091) was taken out and tied around the figure's neck and the rest were put back inside the bodies (typical of this period, the two figures have their top and bottom halves attached at the waist). The figures are early 19thC large and fine Nepalese bronze couples in tantric embrace. Detail (sculpting, casting, finishing) are more detailed than the later examples. The genitals are also far more detailed than those on the later examples. Just over 15 inches tall by 10 inches wide. Comes apart into several parts and has loss of one arm- this is reflected in price- I sold a nearly identical example in 2017 with coins inside for nearly twice what I am selling this one for.
