Something different................an extremely uncommon 19thC or earlier Burmese Buddhist Funeral Carriage. I searched extensively 1for comparable examples, and found one photo from 1930 which showed a very closely related life size example made of wood which was pulled by real horses. No one I have shown it to has ever seen a model like this- probably from a temple, and used for memorial services. The number of parts, along with the amount of detail indicate that this piece took a very long time to create. Remarkable, while there are minor losses which are hard to see, ALL original parts are are still together. Extremely heavy. Height of carriage to top of canopy is 12", width (wheel to wheel) is 6.5", length to front of footrest is 10.5. Length from front of footrest to end of side shafts is 11.25"
