Antique Tibetan Thangka--unique in that it looks more like it was done with ink-like paint, so the detail is incredible and has a different quality than most thangkas. It has a mandala quality to it. Reportedly purchased by the previous owner's grandfather in the 1940's while in Asia during World War 2 and was supposedly not new when he bought it. I am guessing near 100 years old. I spent a lot of money having it custom-framed with museum glass and using Thai silk matting. Special; only seen one other like it in 30 years(from the same source--he had 2 closely related thangkas purchased at the same time 70 years ago). The other is also listed. Thangka measures 11.25 inches x 14 inches. Frame measures 16.5 inches x 20 inches x 1 inch.
