16/17th Century Thai quartz Buddha- Rare, Lare, Early, Spiritually potent. Sits 4.5 inches tall, with an early custom stand that elevates it to 6.5 inches. Extremely clear original early SE Asian crystal Buddha. Cut with only straight lines (could not cut curved lines in such hard stone in Thailand during this early period). They used ruby excavated from the river dust to polish. Very slow process- few made, mainly in areas such as north central Thailand where clear crystals of size were available. This is one of the largest/hardest clearest Thai Buddhas that I was certain was authentic and several hundred years old that I have owned/offered. Part of my personal collection for 20+ years. Very powerful piece.
