Late 18th Century enameled Chinese monk. Minor loss and dings (usual for this type) are seen in the photos. Sits 6 3/8 inches tall, 8 inches on its custom base. Note the reign mark- I've seen more than a dozen of this type, and this is the first one I've encountered with a reign mark. Fabulous face- best I've seen on one of these monks. Contents are leaking slightly (I believe the only purpose of contents is to give the piece weight. The other related pieces are hollow with no bottoms).
