This is a special form of protective Buddha from Burma- "Lotus Buddha". Considered good luck, and to be protective-especially from fire. Often with small "bumps" on the joints (knees, elbows, hips etc). I believe this one is a genuine early one (150 to 200 years) carved out of teak and coated with layers of lacquer.. Very fine face- s
