Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Wonderful Bodhisattva on turtle. Early and rare--probably Silk Road, very early southern Chinese, or atypical Himalayan from one of the lesser known kingdoms. Likely 1000 years old or more. Significant wear. Very special. High precious metal content. 4 3/4 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches on custom stand. Been examined by several experts who have been fascinated and confounded. A piece worthy of the most advanced collection.
