Large Vintage Thai Buddha with one of the more fascinating bases I have encountered on a Thai Buddha in a very long time. It has what appear to be the faces of demons or other fierce emanations surrounded by scrollwork, skillfully sculpted into the legs of the base in a way I have not seen before. It does not appear to be an early casting though I do not believe it was made to deceive in any way. Probably 50 to 80 years old. Quite impressive at 21 inches tall.
