Very good 18/19thC bronze Hindu Deity with consort on horse. The deity originally sat on a different horse, and the post on the horse was slightly modified to accept this rider he fits OK, though not perfectly- he looks perfectly natural. This kind of piece is far less common with the consort accompanying the deity. The faces of the Deity, consort, and horse are all wonderful- they are expressive, clear, and beautifully sculpted. They are far better than almost all of the other pieces of this type I have seen. Sits 7 inches tall when assembled.
