14th/15th Century Burmese Buddha, a very rare and distinctive type. Likely Pinya period with possible Mon influence, though the form is unique enough to stand apart from standard classifications. I am confident the piece is at least 500 years old—quite possibly older. The Buddha has a wonderful, expressive face and a superb, deeply developed patina that reflects its long history of devotion. An advanced collector’s piece, presented on a custom museum-style base.
