13th century Cham (Vietnam) Buddha/Bodhisattva -Large Stone Niche/Stele/Sculpture. Deeply Serene. Cham sculppture is very similar to Late Khmer, though, to me, most that I have seen tends to be more friendly and peaceful than its Cambodian neighbor.
This figure is gentle, calm, loving, relaxed, and exactly the kind of presence that I would like to have in my living room. In fact, this is the central piece I have sitting over my fireplace right now.
