Remarkable 9/10thC Thai Bronze Naga Buddha. It is a transitional piece between Dvarati style and the beginnings of a true Thai style. It is extremely heavy- I think the body is solid cast. The alloy and casting are a bit different than any other Buddha I have had. The condition is excellent with no losses, although there are original obvious casting flaws, including to the face, the knee, and the back of the base. This is out of an old Chinese/Thai family collection. It is 6.75 inches tall. Note the wonderful faces on each Naga. Wonderful!!
