Antique Mongolian Temple Box and Spoon For ritual Herbs. Rare to find complete. This is a box that contained a fragrant herb that was ingested or applied to the body by Buddhist practitioners in a Mongolian Temple. It looks to have been used over an extremely long amount of time. It has a glass window through which you can see how full the box is. It also has a very old, possibly original spoon. This is one of those items that was probably very common in that there was probably one in each Temple. They are probably extremely rare today because nobody thought to save them and they probably just used them till they wore out and then they threw them away or used the parts of them to make new ones. It's certainly something I've never seen before. (7"W x 2.625H" x 5"D)
