Extremely large 19th-century Korean bronze standing Baby Buddha pointing to heaven and earth as witness of his first steps. This is a special form of the buddha found only in China, Japan, and Korea. This is the largest bronze baby buddha I have ever come across. At first, I thought he was Japanese, but studying him led me to believe his face and body display those of Korean Buddhas. Finely cast, with an attractive black patina(may be applied). Massive at 22 1/2 inches tall x 7 inches across x 7 inches deep and thickly cast. Crisply cast. ( 27.55lbs / 12.495kg)
