Cambodian bronze Buddha in the 13th-century style. He appears to be a genuine antique, though I am not assigning a firm date and leave that determination to the buyer. I have kept him in a place of honor in my home for many years because of his beautiful face and gentle, calming presence.
A very good size—11 1/8 inches tall seated. If standing on his original base, he would likely have approached 30 inches in height. The figure has real charisma and a soft, dignified expression that makes him especially appealing. A lovely and evocative example of Cambodian Buddhist art.
